I run an organization called Athletes Helping Athletes, Inc. which is for Special Needs Athletes and typical high school athletes.
We have these "special kids" as Honorary Captains before Home Football games. The kids get to meet the players and the cheerleaders and we sit back and watch their self-esteem grow, as they laugh, high five, and hug their new friends.
