Kyle is a Great team Leader for the Phantom football team. He is one of the phantoms Senior Captain and a vocal inspirational leader. His story has been a heartfull one when his older brother Matthew and a classmate Matthew Hernandez were tragically killed in a car accident coming home from their fathers birthday party. Kyle was a freshman at Cathedral and this affected him and the entire phantom community. Kyle has lived with his brother's death and has been an inspirational Athlete and student to all his fellow students at Cathedral.

If you see Kyle on campus he is well loved by teachers and students alike. Coach Pearson has given most inspirational player to Kyle the last 2 year's for the football team. Kyle Merrill is from a humble family and get's some financial aid to attend cathedral. I think Kyle’s courage, contributions, character and commitment to his School and Community go above and beyond. His goal is to continue his education and play football at a small college. I know this Young Man and I know He will be successful in his future and life endeavors.
