Steve was born deaf and has never allowed his disability to stop him from pursuing his passion of playing football. He is an inspirational leader on our team and has been a 3 year starter on our Defensive Line. He is also a fullback on offense in short yardage situations. He has had every excuse to not play or think it is too difficult, and he refuses to let it stop him from pursuing his dream.

He volunteers in our community and is involved in his youth church group. He wants to go to college and play football, but his parents struggle financially. Winning this award and getting the scholarship money would allow him to fulfull his dream. He is a role model for my 10 year old grandson with the heart and effort that Steven shows each day at practice and in games.
