The following FAQ provides an overview about the 2010 High School Football Rudy Awards.
- What is the 2010 schedule?

The following is the High School Rudy Awards Schedule for 2010:
- September 27th - Awards open for nominations (9:00a.m. Pacific Time)
- October 8th - Fan Voting Begins!
- November 23rd - Nominations are closed (5:00p.m. Pacific Time)
- November 28th - Voting closes for Top 50 Semifinalists (5:00p.m. Pacific Time)
- November 30th - Announce the Top 50 Semifinalists
- December 27th - Voting closes for Top 12 Finalists (9:00p.m. Pacific Time)
- December 28th - Announce Top 12 Finalists
- January 17th – Voting closes for the Winner, 2 Runners-up, & Fan Favorite
- January 18th – Announce the Winner, 2 Runners-up, & Fan Favorite
- February/March - High School Rudy Awards Ceremony (date: TBD)
- What role does the Trusted Sports Foundation play in the Rudy Awards?

The Trusted Sports Foundation (TSF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity focused on removing barriers that prevent youth from participating in sports to get and keep Kids In The Game™. TSF provides and administers the academic scholarships for the Rudy Awards™. TSF empowers young athletes to live up to their full potential through positive sports experiences that form active, healthy habits for a lifetime.
- How do I nominate an athlete?
- Anyone can nominate a player directly on this website by clicking the "Nominate" button on the homepage and following the online registration process. Once a nomination is submitted, the player and/or parents will need to confirm acceptance of the nomination and agree to the Participation Agreement.
- What is awarded?
- The Rudy Awards Recipient will receive a $10,000 academic scholarship from the Trusted Sports Foundation. Two Runners-Up will each receive a $5,000 academic scholarship from the Trusted Sports Foundation. One Fan Favorite will receive a $5,000 academic scholarship from the Trusted Sports Foundation. Each of the 12 Finalists will receive a "Rudy 45" football jersey. The 50 Seminfinalists will each receive an official Rudy Awards hoodie sweatshirt.
- Who is eligible for the High School Football Rudy Awards?

Any high school football player that satisfies the following eligibility requirements
may be nominated:
- Nominees can be any gender, age or year in High School (Freshman through Senior).
- Nominees can play on any level of a high school football team.
- Nominees must be on the football team at some point during the 2010 season.
- Who may nominate a player?
- Anyone may nominate a 'Rudy'.
- Is approval from a parent or guardian required to participate?
- When a player is nominated through online registration, either the nominee or the parent/legal guardian will have to approve the Participation Agreement. In the event a nominee is under the age of 18 at the time of registration, a parent or legal guardian MUST approve the Participation Agreement.
- When is the deadline to submit a nomination?
- Nominations are accepted beginning September 27, 2010 and will close at 5:00pm Pacific Standard Time on November 23rd, 2010.
- What is the selection process?
- There are three rounds of the selection process. The first round determines the 50 Semifinalists. The second round determines the top 12 Finalists. The Rudy Awards Recipient, two Runners-up and one Fan Favorite will be announced on January 18, 2011.
- Round 1 Process: 50 Semifinalists -- 40 of the 50 Semifinalists will be chosen from the entire pool of eligible nominees by Trusted Sports. 10 of the 50 Semifinalists will be chosen by the Fan Vote.
- Round 2 Process: 12 Finalists --10 of the 12 Finalists will be chosen from the pool of 50 Semifinalists by Trusted Sports. 2 of the 12 Finalists will be chosen by the Fan Vote.
- Final Round Process: The National Selection Committee and online Fans will vote from the pool of 12 Finalists to determine the Recipient of the High School Rudy Award and the two Runners-up (the Fan Vote will count as one unit of the Selection Committee vote). The online Fan Vote will select the recipient of the "Fan Favorite" award.
- The Rudy Awards Recipient, two Runners-up and one Fan Favorite will be announced on January 18, 2011.
- Will fans be able to show support by voting?

Yes! The selection process incorporates a Fan Vote. The Selection Committee and the Fan Vote will determine the nation's most inspirational high school football player in America. The Fan Vote will count as one unit of the Selection Committee vote for determining the Rudy Award Recipient and two Runners-up. The online Fan Vote will select fan favorites for both the Semifinalist and Finalist pools. Finally, the online Fan Vote will select the recipient of the "Fan Favorite" of the Rudy Awards.
- How are the Nominees evaluated?

The nominees are evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Positive impact of the nominee’s inspirational story.
- Extent to which nominee has "Dreamed Big & Never Quit!"
- Positive effect on peers, school and community of the nominee.
- How well the nominee exhibits the Four C’s on and off the field (i.e. Character, Courage, Contribution & Commitment).
